In line with Irish fire safety legislation and best practices:
- Under Regulation 17 of the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act (General Application) Regulations 2007 employers are obligated to ensure the safety of the workplace, including safe means of escape and emergency systems.
- IS 3218:2013+A1:2019 and IS EN 1634 standards emphasise the requirement for routine inspection and maintenance of fire doors and escape routes.
- Insurance and compliance audits now increasingly demand documented, regular fire door inspections - at a minimum twice annually - to ensure that all fire doors meet current safety requirements.
